Working in the “abstract” allows me to explore intimate, internal impressions which express universal themes. In this show called “IMPRESSIONS”, the group of pieces represented are my way of communicating through art. By explanation, I could give you a summary of each piece, but it takes away from the viewer’s own interpretation. Thus, I will only give a context for each painting so that the viewer can form his or her own opinion.
MIA MURAL 2005 was influenced by a trip to Italy. While touring Pompeii, many of the textured walls and murals remained. I did a series of paintings referring to the now faded, but fascinating expressions of that time. Being a personal piece, this is the first time it is out in public.
